DJB and I were wandering around St. Germain one day, looking for a quiet street to take photos on when we stumbled upon this wall of graffiti. Thinking we hit the jackpot we began taking out our gear, testing the lighting and taking some test pictures of the wall. While we were doing this several groups of people came by to stare at this wall and take pictures. After about the fifth group it finally clicked that this might be a famous site. DJB checked his trusty Lonely Planet app and yes, of course it was! It was the former residence of Serge Gainsbourg! Yes people the Serge Gainsbourg! Just kidding, we had to Google him too. He was a French singer, songwriter, poet, composer, artist, actor and director. Regarded as one of the most important figures in French popular music, he was renowned for his often provocative and scandalous releases. It never ceases to amaze me the cool things we stumble upon randomly in this city!
I tried a double peplum look that day, which I had never attempted before. It is simply a peplum sleeveless shirt under a peplum sweater.
