The Pompidow Center is the largest modern art museum in Europe (it also has a large public library). It opened in 1977 and the design was very controversial. Time definitely proved the architects right (like the Eiffel tower). People say it's love at second sight with this building.
Not surprisingly, a modern art museum is full of modern art! One of these is a Picasso. Guess which one.
The museum also contains contemporary art. Which sometimes, I will admit, I don't get.
There are probably a few Parisians that wish they had a stove in their apartment. Even if it was this stove.
The museum is free the first Sunday of every month, so I'm definitely going back.
